Another decade gone by…

Another decade gone by?

Or is it…

Another decade

Of lines, marks, battle scars & stretch marks?

Every errant misguided hair, or annual monstrous zit?

Every heart break, or lingering Judas kiss?

Perhaps the glittering silver strands of wisdom?

Or the telling signs of a swedge with the system?

That keeps us as courtesans of the underdog?

Courting the underdog?

Or being the underdog?

Rapturous epiphany?

Or the climax of unrequited longing?

Or maybe just another decade gone by…?

Am I questioning?

Or is this just contemplation?

Of a womxn…

Slowly rising from the ashes like a phoenix?

After a blistering decade?

The decade that just went by?

Or is it another decade coming in?

Stepping in…

As vixen, witch, pisachini… or

Whatever I choose to embody…

Whoever I choose to be…

After this decade gone by…

And into this decade I usher…

With my sisters…

Here we are… here I am…
